Congratulations to Ashby Burleson, Nicholas Sussman, George Homiller, Penelope Arnold, Mira Stallard, Sarah Shepherd, Lilith Holmes, Katherine Smouse, and Violet Beale who competed over three days this past week in a North American Certamen competition held via Discord. Certamen is a Latin quiz bowl style competition and our Robious Latin I students competed against middle and high school students from as far as Oklahoma, South Carolina, Georgia, and even Canada. Magistra Wyatt is so proud of you all!
CCPS DAILY EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENTS:
When in a virtual learning environment
Students will attend classes on time. If a student must be absent, the parents/guardians should notify the school’s attendance office.
Students will identify time during the afternoon/evening to review posted Canvas lessons and/or recordings if they are unable to attend class in person and complete the necessary task for attendance verification that same day. Additionally, students should complete any work assigned during that class period.
Students will participate in lessons and complete work for grades.
Any student or family member will contact their teacher, school principal or school counselor if they have a concern about academics, social/mental well-being or a technology need.
Parents, please monitor Parentvue and your students academic progress. We understand that this is a unique school year, but regardless, work and assignments must be completed. Grades are happening. Please communicate with your student's teacher(s) with any questions or concerns. We want all of our students to be successful.
