MANY Tests and Trials—

Just 3 months ago I came to Restore Ministries and two weeks later joined the Restoration Fellowship after knowing I needed to let go of my church so I could learn to know Him better.

After visiting the website and reading the testimonies of marriages that had been restored, I was so impressed so I had to order all your books. Wow - did your materials, which are based on God's will for our lives, ever open my eyes!!! I had always looked at my husband's sins, but never my own until after reading your books and then I got to work putting myself into God's Word the Bible! What a comfort to realize I wasn't alone in what I was going through.

When my husband called me two days after my birthday the first thing he said is, "Boy are you changing and repenting!" My husband asked me at that time if he could come home and take me out for my birthday, which I of course, agreed to! He came home immediately and we spent four days together and at the end he asked if we could get back together again!

There were so MANY tests when my husband was gone and many more after he returned (so I am so glad for the time I had to learn what to do and how to focus on the Lord, my Husband), but I did everything as all your books taught me. When He asked me what I expected out of this relationship I now knew what I should say. My response was to be able to love him as a wife should love her husband, and to respect and honor him until death do us part. He laughed and squeezed me tight!!!

My Restoration: God Moved Suddenly!

First, I just want to say Praise God! He is so faithful to His promises!! My story is like so many others. I was devastated when my husband called after work one day and said he wasn't coming home. I knew that our marriage wasn't great, but I never dreamed that things would go that far. I later found out that my husband had been unfaithful.

It was after he had been gone a week that someone recommended Restore Ministries to me. I cried and cried as I read the opening page of the website. Finally, some hope! I ordered the book, workbook and joined the fellowship right away after letting go of my church (that told me things contrary to what I began learning). I was shocked at how much I didn't know about what God and His Word had to say about marriage, divorce, and separation and how the Lord would be my Husband. But after reading the material, I knew that God would restore my marriage, not me or anyone else.

I began applying the principles right away. Although I didn't see immediate changes in my husband in how he treated me, I felt peace like I had not felt in years. After my husband had been gone about three weeks, I re-dedicated my life to the Lord, became His bride, and for what I believe is the first time in my life, I actually had assurance of my salvation. What a gift!!! Thank you RMI!!

Then suddenly one morning after my husband had been gone for almost two months, I got my miracle phone call!! Just the day before I had told God not to bother, I didn't want restoration, I just really wanted my new Husband. Yet the next day my husband called me from work and told me that his living arrangements were changing. I just said "ok" because I no longer cared. He then began to weep and told me that he missed his family, his home, and his life. He wanted to try to get it all back. Wow God is so amazing!! Just at the point that He became all I wanted, God restored.

It was only 10 days earlier that my husband had been talking about how we were going to divide up our household items, about child visitation, and about how I needed to figure out a way to support myself!!! God moved so suddenly! That Sunday he asked me to join him and we went to church and during the song service and the invitation, he sat in his seat with his eyes closed and tears were streaming down his face!!! He found his salvation just like I had been assured of mine!!

Restored - To Him Be All the Glory!

After praying and fasting for six years, I asked the Holy Spirit to guide me through the Internet to some ministry that would help me. The Holy Spirit guided me to Restore Ministries, wow! I couldn't wait to order the books, ordered and watched the videotapes one after another and then repeated them. Next I let go of my church and joined your fellowship! As soon as I received the books, I read and reread them, marked them and read them some more. It has truly been a tremendous blessing in my life, as well as the lives of others whom I've shared more books after buying a dozen!

After applying the principles in your books as well as the hedge of thorns, within three weeks my husband came home one day shaking in his boots, and with tears in his eyes running down his face. All I can say is, DON'T GIVE UP! I believe that what helped me the most was to be obedient to God's Word in everything, once I learned the truth. That's what really did it!
