WARRANT OF TRADE

Resolved henceforth in the name of the Most Glorious Emperor of Mankind:

& in the Auspices of The Fabricator General of Avignor,

& with the Blessing of the Patriarch of the High Ecclesiarchy,

& under the just watch of Grand Admiral.

Is hereby granted this Warrant of Trade unto:

KALSEPHON JANZENDIUS WINDSOR

& to all of his line, from now until the end of time.

The Rightful Bearer and heirs of this Warrant is granted the inalienable right to go forth beyond the sacred borders of the blessed Imperium, to contact such benighted civilisations as he may encounter, and to make war for the glory of the Emperor as he deems necessary. By the authority of the Tri-Partite Coaliton (Navy, Mechanicus, Church) this Warrant places the Bearer as a peer to the great powers of the Imperium, inter alia: Imperial Commanders, Chapter Masters of the Adeptus Astartes, and the masters of the Holy Orders of the Emperor's Inquisition.

The authority this Warrant begins where the Imperium ends. Beyond the extent of Imperial rule, the bearer of this Warrant speaks as with the voice of the Emperor Himself. It is the bearer's right and his responsibility to claim whatever worlds, resources, or privileges he may obtain in any manner he chooses. None of his family or servants shall operate outside of oaths to the Empire

He shall have writ to establish and support troops needed for the establishment & security of his operations. Said troops shall surely defend only the needs of the Imperium, and the Dynasty. The Trader shall have authority to redeem from any station or gravity well any troops previously sworn to his service having then gone runaway. He shall have for course for recompense or satisfaction from those that cheat him of any services, proper duties, or goods. Ships, Ordinance, Supply, Ammunition: shall not be re-routed or taken, belonging to the Trader, for the use of this Imperium, without the gravest of Demonstrable Need.

Ships, Stations, and Lands established by this Trader outside the borders of the Imperium shall be subject to his laws and rule, in good faith of the Church, until such time as the Empire shall be considered to have expanded that far. At such time Imperial Administrata & Arbitration shall there into transition.

To the satisfaction of all concerned, we have ordained, that this Dynasty be audited every 60 years, Terran, by the Administratum on behest of the Tri-Partite, with all records, offices, and returns opened to their perusal, as requested to make a good and complete accounting, and again at any succession of the dynasty to a new heir. For each year missed on said deadline, a percentage of the dynasty’s assets shall be forfeit to the Tri-Partite.

Ships of the Trader shall sail to and from their proper Ports of Call, and if by reason of War, Misfortune, Weather, or Hazard they shall make port at another Imperial station, they shall respect the tariffs and customs of said ports.

The governors of the respective worlds claimed by this Trader shall be responsible for their respective tithes, to all branches of the Administratum in their kind.

And when any ship in service to this Trader shall return to Imperial port from a voyage, the generals or commanders of the fleets, shall be obliged to report to us, via Astropathic transmission, the success of the voyage of such ships, within ten days after their arrival, and shall deliver to the Tri-Partite a report in writing.

If War shall hazard Trade and Navigation in the Dynasty’s area of concern, The Imperium shall provide up to sixteen frigates; properly crewed, supplied, and armed to aid in pacification of the area. Yet after their first month of service, they shall be supported at the expense of the Trader, or may honorably retire. Sixteen shall be the upper limit of such aid, with the lower limit being the equivalent number of ships the Trader has been operating. Such aid will proceed under the wisdom of the Navy’s Admiral, the flotilla commander.

Prizes taken in said War shall apprehend to the Trader, save that the Tithe shall be paid, and in addition a Tithe shall convey to his Excellency the Admiral, and in addition a Tithe shall convey to his Excellency the Fabricator-General, and yet another Tithe shall proceed as bonus and bounty to those naval crews and troops, having risked their livelihoods at his aid

The paterfamilias of this Lineage shall solemnly promise and swear, that he and all his shall act well and faithfully in their administration, and make good and just accounts of their trade: That they in all things will consult the greatest protection of the Lineage, and as much as possible prevent their meeting with losses: That they will not give the principal members any greater advantage in the payments or distribution of money than the least: That they, in getting in and receiving outstanding debts, will not favour one more than another: that they for their own account will take, and, during the continuance of their administration, will continue to take such sum of money as by their charter is allotted to them; and moreover, that they will, as far as concerns them, to the utmost of their power, observe and keep, and cause to be observed and kept, all and every the particulars and articles herein contained.

To whit, The Windsor Trader Dynasty shall advance the cause of the Emperor and his three main houses of servants thusly :

- Blandishment for the Adeptus Mechanicus:

They shall aid the Adepts in their quests, such that as the accounts of the Trader grow, so shall their knowledge repositories.

- Constraint for the Adeptus: They shall avoid corruption or heretekal upset on account of technological advances and treasure.

- Blandishment for the Imperial Navy:

They shall pacify any invaders and rebels in areas beyond the established borders.

- Constraint for the Navy: They shall avoid impediment, travail, or upset of the Imperial Navy

- Blandishment for the Holy Church:

They shall bring the light of Emperor’s gaze as both woe to the alien and a joy to the scattered.

- Constraint for the Church: They shall avoid heresy by deed or word unto the Ecclesiarchy.

IF thusly shall the Dynasty conduct itself as honorable servants of the Emperor,

It is seen that they shall in time establish an honorable sector of the Imperium.
