He is one of the worst pitchers right now for the Nationals. The other day he pitched 65 pitches in the 1st inning. The average pitches in the 1st is like 9 to 10. An Era is the Earned Run Average. His ERA is 6.44. That is really bad. Your ERA should be under 4. So yea he is not a very good pitcher.

He is in a huge slump and is supporting no use for the nationals. Right now he is getting a couple of at bats. He doesn't start and for the past few years has been the starting catcher. A batting average is how many times you hit the ball in every at bat you have. His batting average is .134. That is horrible.
The Nationals have not been a very good team since they won the world series in 2019. Since then they have been near the bottom of their divsion. So they really need to step up their game if they want to win their divsion. They have no very impressive pitcher. They had two very good pitchers but one was traded away and the other retired. The other day they had 3 errors in the first inning that is what happens at my little league games. They had Bryce Haper but he also got traded away.
This is why the Washington Nationals are not at all a good team.
