Holiday Listicle

Here is my opinion on holidays:

6: St. Patrick’s Day

I feel like it was way more fun when I was younger because we used to make those fun little traps in school, my parents would put some green concoction in the toilet, and I would get those chocolate coins. Also, I’m confused as to how leprechauns got involved in St. Patrick’s Day too. But I will say, that when my teachers gave me those chocolate coins, they’d be gone in probably 5 minutes. If you give me a bag of them, don’t expect to get any back. Just kidding, but they’re delicious.

5: Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is really fun because I get to see my cousins that I don’t normally get to see. Also, it teaches me to be thankful. Sometimes I feel like the only reason people like Thanksgiving is because of the food and the week-off break we get. Although, I look forward to the break because that’s when I can get my stuff together. November is right around when all of my sports end, so I can actually sleep in and clean up my room. 

4: Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is during such a nice time of the year. Well, like, not the weather, but I feel like it suits it. Also, I love giving and receiving gifts. I give them to my friends and family, and maybe a valentine if I’m lucky. Hahaha, those nerd gummy clusters are bussin'!

3: Easter

JESUS HAS RISEN!!!! I like Easter so much because of Mass. I think I’ve probably only been to midnight mass once or twice, but I love it. We normally go the night before, Easter Eve, but then we get a yummy dinner after. I think last year was Outback Steakhouse. (It was good)

2: Christmas

I feel like Christmas is in everyone’s top 3. I mean, think about it, Christmas break, presents, family, and more. Oh, and I don’t know if this is just me, but I think everyone is in such a good mood around the holidays. Schellville is also really fun. Last year, I fell probably 20 times while roller skating. It was fun though!

1: 4th of July

There are multiple reasons why I like the 4th of July over any other holiday. First, it’s in summer and in my opinion, summer is the best season. Next, the fireworks! Even though they keep me up all night, they’re super fun to watch. Moving on, Milton Park has live music and super fun stuff like water balloons, face painting, and photo booths! Last year, the photo booth had tons of props. Lastly, glow-in-the-dark paint and glow sticks. When I went to the beach to watch fireworks a few years ago, I drenched myself in glow-in-the-dark paint and I put glow sticks everywhere. Like, they were in my hair, on my ankles, my wrists, neck, hair, almost everywhere. If you were there, you’d probably be able to see me from a mile away!
