It was September 2nd, 2021 when McKenzie first introduced me to Bob. The way she was talking about him made it seem like he was the best guy in the world. As soon as he walked through the door I began getting this unsettling feeling, I. DID. NOT. TRUST. HIM. Once McKenzie finished introducing me to Bob we all sat down and watched “A Good Girl's Guide To Murder,” a murder mystery series ( my personal favorite). A couple of weeks go by and from what I saw McKenzie and Bob's relationship was going well, or so I thought. I was sitting in my room finishing some math homework when McKenzie suddenly called me. I answered, expecting her to be asking for the homework answers but instead, I heard sobbing from the other end of the phone. “Are you okay?”I asked concerned. “Bob threatened t-to end our relationship after I c-confronted him about never t-talking to me when his f-friends are around, he said I was o-overreacting and that I was just j-jealous he has friends,” she muffled through sobs. “NO HE DID NOT!” I practically screamed. “I-it’s okay we will probably forgive each other at school tomorrow,” she said reassuringly. “Are you sure you’re alright?” I question. “Yes, thank you for answering,” is the last thing she said before hanging up. The next morning I got to school extra early to turn in my math homework so I wouldn’t forget. On my way to math class, I saw something I wish I never had, I saw Bob kissing another girl in the hallway. My books dropped and I froze, staring at Bob, then the girl, then Bob again. Bob and the girl both looked around trying to figure out where the sound came from, as soon as he saw me his face became as white as a ghost. I practically ran to the math class threw my papers on the teacher's desk and then sprinted down the hallway to McKenzie’s locker. When I got there I was panting uncontrollably but managed to spit out the words, “I just saw Bob kissing another girl, I-I’m sorry McKenzie.” McKenzie turned pale and then became concerningly red, she stomped over to Bob's locker and I could tell she was yelling. After a couple of minutes, she came walking back looking almost proud of herself, “I broke up with him.” She said with her head held high. I smiled at her, “Atta girl, he didn’t deserve you anyway.” I told her. A couple of months go by and McKenzie is finally introducing me to her new boyfriend, as soon as he came into the room I knew this relationship was a good one just by the way he was looking at her.
