Soccer Predictions
By Noah Solovey
As 2023 comes to an end, 2024 is just beginning. In 2024, league winners and individual awards will both be decided and crowned. From fairy-tale stories to broken records, this year will bring intense football no matter the case.
First of all, let's predict the league winners. Ligue 1 is very predictable. I think that with PSG's fantastic squad, they will come out on top and win the title. They are an excellent club that can definitely run away with the trophy.
Next, I think that Benfica can win Liga Portugal. They are in excellent form and with Di Maria, anything can happen.
In the Saudi Pro League, I have a special feeling that Al-Hilal can easily escape with the title.
In the famous Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen will break Bayern Munich's excellent streak of eleven titles and win it. Harry Kane might be a curse! Leverkusen play excellent football and no other team will match their level this year.
For La Liga, another fairy-tale story will occur and Girona will win. Their tactics seem to dominate La Liga and no team, even Real Madrid will stop them.
In the Premier League, Man City. Man City are the best team in the world and there is no doubt that Haaland and De Bruyne will work their magic and bring City to the title. Though, credit to Aston Villa who I have predicted to get second.
Before I predict Serie A, I wanted to predict promoted teams for the Premier League. So for the EFL Championship, I predict that Leicester City will win the league and Ipswich Town and Southampton will get promoted, while Sheffield United, Burnley, and Brentford will go down. I know that Brentford are an actual good team but they are having a dreadful season.
Last but not least, Inter will win the Serie A. They are an excellent club with the talent it takes to win the league.
Second of all, the second category I'll be predicting is competition. League competitions include the FA Cup, Copa Del Rey, Coppa Italia, DFB Pokal, Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Euros, Copa America, AFCON Cup, Carabao Cup, and the Asia Cup. We have many competitions to get through, so let's get started.
First of all, Man City will bring home the FA Cup. Man City just finds these competitions too easy and could 100% destroy in the competition.
In the Copa Del Rey, Atletico Madrid will win. They have fantastic players and are capable of adding this trophy to their cabinet.
For Coppa Italia, It will be easy for Juventus to take it home. They are already far in the competition and have world-class players.
In the DFB-Pokal FC Kaiserslautern will take home the trophy. Though they are not doing well in the Bundesliga 2, they can easily win this trophy and show Leverkusen who they are. They are an excellent club that is capable of winning.
The Champions League could either be Bayern, Man City, or Real Madrid for me. Man City have Haaland, De Bruyne, Rodri, Ederson, Dias, and so many other world-class players that can easily help Man City win their second treble in a row. Real Madrid have Jude Bellingham, and there is nothing else to say. Bayern has the excellent Harry Kane, who scores loads. It is just a coin toss this year.
For the Europa League, Liverpool can easily win. They have been doing well in the Premier League and are 10x better than every other Europa League team.
In The Europa Conference League, Aston Villa will crush it. They are being a fantastic and unstoppable team this season - it's just too obvious.
For the EUROs, England will bring it home! They have an excellent squad that will be unstoppable, even against giants like Portugal, Spain, and France.
For the AFCON, it will be the great Morocco. They have players like Hakimi, and Yen Nyisri. They are just perfect.
In the Asia Cup, South Korea will win. Their squad is powerful with Son, Kim Min Jae, and others.
In the Copa America, Argentina will win. I don't even need to explain.
Finally, in the Carabao Cup Chelsea will take it home. They are playing Middlesbrough in the Semi-Finals and are capable of beating Liverpool if they're lucky.
Finally, I'll be predicting individual awards. This year will be so intense and nail-biting for awards like the Ballon D'or, European Golden Boot, and the Highest Goalscorer in each league.
The Ballon D'or will be Jude Bellingham. Bellingham has had an incredible start for Real Madrid and is fantastic. England will also do well in the Euros and Real Madrid could cook in the Champions League.
Harry Kane will win the European Golden Boot. He is showing the Bundesliga how good he is every match, and has such a high chance of winning this, of course not outscoring Erling Haaland though.
In the Premier League, Erling Haaland will score the most goals. To be fair, he is just a machine.
In La Liga, Bellingham will. He pretty much scores every game. This statistic will also probably contribute to his Ballon D'or.
In Serie A, Lautaro Martinez and Oshinem will both score loads. They are both world-class strikers.
In the Bundesliga, Kane is obvious. No comment.
Finally, Kylian Mbappe will score the most in League 1. Unless he gets injured, boy will he score loads.
After all, 2024 will be a great year for football. There will be upsets, records, winners, and so much more this year. What are your predictions for 2024?
