Football Editorials: Real Madrid Takeover, Man City 115, and More
By Noah Solovey
Real Madrid fans,
Real Madrid are getting annoying…
Is it really that fun to watch a team buy its way into its success? The Real Madrid transfer strategy can be described in 3 words: Buy the best. Every single transfer window, Real Madrid pops out of nowhere and buys the biggest stars- as some describe them as the playground bully of football. In this transfer window, they bought Kylian Mbappe and Endrick when their main priority was a Nacho Hernandez replacement in defense and a striker. You may argue that Kylian Mbappe was the perfect striker for them, so they didn’t buy him just to buy him. But face it, you are a jealous Madrid fan and won’t admit that Mbappe is a left winger. Mbappe was just another player in a position that did not need any assistance. You may have seen this disaster of Kylian Mbappe and other wingers in the recent Madrid games when Rodrygo, Vini Jr, and Mbappe were all on the left side of the pitch and the right side was empty. And what happened when Real Madrid had too many egotistical forwards? They tied against two horrible La Liga clubs. And I did not forget about Endrick. Endrick might have buttloads of potential, with his amazing goals and skills back in Brazil, but why do you need him? You already have Arda Guler and other youngsters, so why do you need another? It is just obnoxious, greedy, and selfish.
I don’t want to leave it at Endrick and Mbappe, I also want to mention that Real Madrid has been rumored to prioritize Rodri and Saliba next transfer window. Seriously? Saliba is understandable, but Rodri isn’t! You have Camavinga, Tchoumeni, Modric, Valverde, Guler, Bellingham, Ceballos, and so much more! Why do you need another midfielder? Or does Real Madrid need Rodri because he is a top candidate for the Ballon d’Or and was the Euro 2024 player of the tournament? Probably.
Buying your way through success is not a new concept in your spoiled club. For years, you guys have ruined football by attempting to dominate it by bringing all the best players to your club. And you think you're so cool when you do it, but yet your rivals Barcelona always find a way to embarrass your Galaticos Justice League big time. Remember the old gold El Classico days. Real Madrid would walk into them with Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, Modric, Kroos, you name it. Yet, MSN (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) and the Barcelona team would beat you guys 7-0, 4-0, 5-0, and 3-1! They would just demolish and expose your egotistical club. Then the whole football world would be left all bored without their star players. Peche Football once noted in a Lamine Yamal short that he, “Makes grown men look like schoolboys” and my prediction is that Lamine Yamal is going to boss around Real Madrid for years to come. Sit back and relax Madrid fans, it’s going to be a fun 10 years ahead. Welcome to the Endrick VS Yamal era.
Real Madrid, let the stars be throughout football, rather than at one greedy club.
An automatic relegation would hurt the Premier League more than Man City…
Man City are possibly the best club in the world, and they’re the club I support. With the recent chaos of our 115 charges, one thing has been floating around my mind. The possible punishment of relegation would hurt the league much more than Man City, themselves.
Man City have won the Premier League 4 times in a row, and they are the best club in the Premier League. They immediately come to mind when you think of the words “Premier League” and the league wouldn’t be the same without them- so why relegate them?
A relegation would cause the league to lose fans, and competitiveness, and it would cause loads of chaos with the EFL Championship promoting 4 instead of three. On the other hand, Man City could just walk out of the EFL Championship a year later unbeaten and win the Prem the next year- what good does that do in the long term?
A better punishment would be a transfer ban, or a gigantic fine- because what good does relegation do?
