NOTE There were no Miss Europe contests in 1989 and 1990, supposedly due to the Gulf War.  The titleholder in 1991 is officially known as Miss Europe 1990/91.

Susanne Petry of Germany was later "dismissed" and the Miss Europe title given to the 1st runner-up, Katerina Michalopoulou of Greece.
