When waking up every morning do you feel inspired or just grumpy?
I ask, for the same reason why I enjoy the days as I live them.
Every morning I wake up to be ready for the day
due to the way I was just growing up in my house.
Everyday I question life and look around,
To see what I can do.
To just enjoy the sights I see- while I can still admire it.
My peers and friends,
who live their lives.
I try to see or communicate in order to see their point of view
to see or understand my people's lives
just connecting with them.
Being that one person who can be trusted to spill their own beans with.
You see, we are all the same.
The issue is, if we trust with the correct people or if we trust our own path
viewing your day is one's choice
But to live the day is a gift
A gift we mainly take advantage of,
A gift with such potential and value-
The gift that these scarred eyes can see
My reason for the poem was mainly based on the idea of enjoying the moment. As time passes by so swiftly we seem to be blinded by the fact that life can give and take at any moment- so every day must be cherished like it's the last.
I like how in this poet Juan makes us compare our lives and yet let us decide what we want to choose to do in our lives in a way of being appreciated and not just taking advantage of the life/gift we have.

When you asked the first question in the first sentence I always wake up grumpy but its a good thing because the day gets better and there is always another day to live. The part i really liked was when you said "Being that one person who can be trusted to spill their own beans with." because the imagery and reference you are trying to make is perfectly understood by a Hispanic.
