Hello everyone.
Look! I am shaking because of anxiety. Anxiety and I have the longest relationship that I have ever had. We've been together since I was 9 years old, and I think we’ll get married. One thing that you should know and recognize is to never own any type of illness either physical or mental even if you have had it for a long time. I said “Anxiety and I” instead of “My anxiety,” and there is a huge difference between those two expressions. But let’s talk about anxiety; do you really know what anxiety is? Or you just have an idea of what or how it feels like? I’ve been asking this over and over of my friends, family, and even of my teachers, and all that they do is describe how it feels but not what it means.
Anxiety means that is the desire to do something, typically accompanied by unease, according to Google, but I will give you my own definition. Anxiety is the desire to do something immediately. It is an impulse that your body does whenever it is feeling tension more than the normal.
Have you thought about what the risk factors/triggers for anxiety disorders are? Well I bet at some point of your life you will think about that. The most dangerous risk that a person having anxiety can take is to commit suicide or get to a point where depression destroys your point of view about life.
Anxiety is dangerous but helpful at the same time; it all depends on what situation you’re passing through. It is helpful because it lets you know that your mind and body need your help and control. It is not helpful when you start feeling that you don’t have control of your own body. Now, when you try to control yourself and it still doesn’t work, search for help and reach out to any person that you know you can receive help from.
Let’s talk about what kind of symptoms. Most of the time people know they have anxiety because their body starts shaking or feeling a desire to do something, anything but be calm and in control. It causes your body to take control of your brain without permission from you. What you can do is take big breaths and distract yourself with anything. Concentrate on one specific thing and try to focus on it and keep your brain and body away from emotions that you’re not allowing your body to think or do.
Anxiety can be hard to handle; I still can remember those days when I felt like my entire world was shaking and I couldn’t know why. Anxiety can be hard, but keep in mind that you’re stronger, and take control of it. Don’t let it take you down. Don’t let it win.
What inspires me to write about Anxiety was those days that I couldn’t feel anything but fear of not feeling back to what I normally feel. I thought that it would be a good idea to tell my experience and how I dealt with it. I also included some definitions from Google and compared them with my definitions.
I really liked how she expressed and told her story; it was really relatable to me because I've been battling with anxiety for a long time. I liked how she compared her own definitions to those provided by Google. The fact that it's true how unusual it is for someone to genuinely understand what anxiety is piqued my interest.
