The inspiration behind my poem was my sudden outburst of my feelings. I think we’ve all been there where our feelings just get too overwhelming. In my last two stanzas I took inspiration from the poem Miami Airport where the entire poem is just questions. My writing process was a bit difficult. I have a hard time writing down what I'm feeling, and anytime I'm writing something I feel like someone is overlooking me judging everything I write. I also am not very fond of poems so writing this was very difficult. A literary device that I used was personification on “The beach palms whispering fresh air” The structure poem is an elegy poem. In an elegy poem there has to be reflection upon someone's death or loss.
