A solemn departure
feelings dropped in an instant
or everlasting sequence of pain and stress
You sit and ponder
whether this is something you’re deserving of
You’re not sure of a God in this life
but it feels like someone has spited you
Deep rumbles
constant tossing and turning
a jump in life that also tumbles
Outside you feel okay,
but deep down everything feels like it’s falling
You’re stuck in a constant cold
hoping for everything to end in an instant
Except things never go your way
you know they never go your way
Because by default you have to live with that
the next day
I wrote this poem because everybody in the class had to make a poem. It’s more so a joke poem and I heavily over exaggerated lines to poke fun at how other poems are interpreted. If I changed the title no one would’ve known that the poem was about me wanting to poop.
The title really caught my attention, as soon as I read "Number 2", it made me think of going to the restroom to take a dump. While I read the poem, I knew it was about using the restroom without actually telling me which is a good allusion. You can also add commas and punctuation marks to go along with the flow. But overall, I really found it funny.

The way Nick described his poem... I would think it was about some other subject, but despite being about what it is, the way it is written about makes it easy to interpret it in other ways/topics.

Very very interesting poem. The amount of thought you put it shows. It shows how creative you are and how it built throughout the poem. Now the real question are we ever gonna see Number 2 Pt. 2. But keep writing poems this one came out great, and I assume the rest are gonna come out great as well.
