Description:
Climbing shrubs with tuberous roots. Leaves opposite, ovate to lanceolate, base subcordate or truncate, acuminate apex, margin distantly dentate; basally 5- nerved. Flowers large in axillary drooping racemes; bracts spathaceous, tomentose; bracteoles falcate. Calyx to 2 mm long. Corolla blue with white shades, tube widened, yellowish, lobes subequal spreading, 4-5 cm across. Stamens 4, attached at the throat of the tube; anthers oblong.
