Perennial twiners, stems herbaceous. Leaves simple, alternate, ovate to broadly ovate, 3-6 cm long, broadly cordate, apically acuminate, glabrate. Inflorescences cymose, mostly with 1-2 flowers open at any time; peduncles mostly longer than the leaves. Sepals ovate to lanceolate, acute to acuminate, pubescent. Corolla usually blue, with white centre, campanulate to occasionally subrotate. Stamens exserted. Fruits capsular, globose, 4 mm long, glabrous; seeds brown.
