Description: 

Evergreen, trees, up to 10 m height. Leaves alternate, palmately compound; leaflets 7-16, oblanceolate, subcordate to obtuse at base, abruptly acute to acuminate; lateral nerves 7-13, nearly at right angle to the midrib, to 30 x 5 cm, glabrous and glossy; petioles up to 45 cm long. Panicle terminal, large. Flowers red, grouped in small clusters on the branches. Calyx truncate, lobes 0. Petals 12, 3-5 mm long. Fruits purplish black, fleshy drupes up to 7 mm in diameter.
