Description: 

Shrubs, to 1-2 m tall, branches often zig-zag, reddish. Leaves simple, alternate, ovate or obovate, truncate to rounded at base, apex obtuse, variegated with white, green, and red coloration. Inflorescence axillary; flowers small, white; perianth 6, in 2 series of 3 each; lobes obovate, obtuse.
