Description: 

Climbers with adventitious roots at the nodes; stems terete, glaucous; exudate milky. Leaves alternate, juvenile plants with simple, hastate leaves, often mottled with white; leaves of adult plants digitately compound; leaflets 3-13, basal leaflets smaller and auriculate at the base. Inflorescence axillary, solitary or a few together; peduncles 5-8 cm long; spathe ca. 8 cm long, convolute at the base to form a tube, the limb, greenish-yellow outside and creamy-inside; spadix white, sessile, cylindrical, constricted between the pistillate and staminate flowers.
