Description:
Rhizomatous perennial herbs, to 1 m high. Leaves erect, ovate to elliptic, truncate to cordate at base. Racemes 3-9 in whorls, each 3-10-flowered. Flowers white. Sepals three. Petals obovate-orbicular. Stamens ca. 20, yellow. Carpels many, apocarpus.
