Description:
Climbing shrubs. Leaves opposite, compound, each tendril with small clinging discs; leaflets 2, oblong or elliptic, subacuminate at apex, narrowed to cordate at base, entire; petioles 1-2 cm long, terminating into a tendril. Crushed leaves smell like garlic. Flowers in fascicles, deep lavender with white throat fading to pale lavender. Calyx 0.5-0.8 cm long. Corolla tube 5 cm long, widely tubular above the narrowed base. Fruiting not observed.
