Description:
Shrubs to small trees. Leaves simple, opposite, elliptic, oblong, obovate, base acute, apex obtuse, acute, acuminate, retuse or apiculate, coriaceous. Corymbs sessile or subsessile. Flowers white or pale green, faintly scented. Calyx tube 1.5-2.5 mm long; lobes lanceolate or oblong, pubescent or glabrous, acute. Corolla tube 15-36 mm long; lobes ovate oblong, obtuse. Filaments 1-2 mm long, glabrous. Fruit globose, glossy, black or reddish blue at maturity.
