Description:
An erect tree, 8-25 m tall, with tiered and often thorny branches, initially horizontal, later drooping. Leaves simple, in pseudo-verticils, 2.5-6 x 1-2.5 cm, obovate, obtuse at apex, glabrous, margins entire; lateral nerves 2-4 pairs, slender, midrib prominent; subsessile. Flowers small, in spikes, greenish-white; may be staminate or perfect.
