Description: 

Perennial subshrubs, grows up to 1 m, stem with prominent petiole scars. Leaves alternate-spiral, lamina to 40 cm long, ovate to ovate-oblong, base sheathed, acute at apex, green with patches or blotches of cream, yellow or white. Spathe oblong-lanceolate, slightly constricted below the apex. Spadix to 15 cm long.
