Description:
Stem very low to subterranean with persistent leaf-bases and numerous adventitious lateral branches or bulbils. Leaves pinnate, closely arranged at the apex of trunk, 50-150 cm long; leaflets 60-150 pairs, horizontally inserted, stiff, narrow 8-18 cm long. Cataphylls triangular, 4-5 x 1.5-2.3 cm, densely brown tomentose, apex acuminate.
