Description:
Shrubs or small trees, bark pale grey-brown, rather deeply longitudinally fissured, lenticellate. Leaves opposite, pairs equal or unequal, elliptic or narrowly elliptic, acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base or decurrent into the petiole. Inflorescence 1-30 flowered, rather lax. Flowers white, fragrant. Sepals pale green. Corolla white, often with a yellow throat, lobes obliquely elliptic or obovate, more or less falcate. Stamens inserted below the mouth of corolla tube. Fruit of 2 separate mericarps, orange-red.
