Baruch Kaplan Program (Remote) (UNPAID) Deadline: 12/20/24
Baruch Kaplan Program (Remote) (UNPAID)
WHO: Grades 10 and 11, 80 average in Math, Science, English, and overall GPA.
WHAT: Baruch STEP Academy, in our partnership with Kaplan Test Prep Services, aims to provide students with intensive preparation for the May or June SAT exam. New York State STEP Programs have negotiated a special agreement with Kaplan to offer their courses at a discounted rate. Those fees, however, are still beyond the Baruch STEP budget and thus we are asking students and their families for a fee of $175 per student ($169 fee for Kaplan and $6 administrative fee for JP Morgan and RFCUNY) for Kaplan’s 9-session SAT prep course. We do not ask for fees lightly but feel that the value is worth the cost for such an important test in the students’ academic career.
Students are encouraged to complete their applications soon as possible. Since the Kaplan Scholars course is designed for juniors who are planning on taking the May or June 2025 SAT exams, we will prioritize juniors on a first-come basis. Once admitted, we will request the $175 payment to be made to the Baruch STEP Academy account (details to follow).
