Process for Packaging Conditioned Beers OR Releasing Conditioned Beer
Every week BrewOps and Wholesale work on splits for the following week, and lock them down & post confirmed quantities on Fridays. If something is going to be added to these splits, i.e. conditioned beer release or packaging for the upcoming week, it is important that both teams are aware by Friday latest.
Splits can mean packaging splits, shipping splits, or warehouse transfer splits for conditioned beer.
When conditioned beer is ready, it needs to be green lit by the brewery, communicated to OPS that it's ready to release (see next bullet for how), and then it is incumbent on OPS to put it in the Brooklyn Splits Sheet for the week that it's being released. This will ensure everything gets moved and packaged on time.
The brewery should let OPS know the beer is ready to package OR release through the Conditioned-Beer-Release channel. The benefit of this channel is that you can also let E-commerce and marketing know as well.
Once BrewOps is given the green light, they will make packaging splits OR if the beer is already packaged they will make warehouse splits for the week of release.
