Shopify

If the Shopify Tag & Chip reader are not waking up, the following steps should be followed:

(Note: When opening the register at the start of the shift check in the app)

1. Go into the Shopify settings -> Hardware -> click through the settings to forget the reader that is currently in use.

2. Go into the Ipad general settings -> Hit Bluetooth -> hit the i symbol -> Forget this device.

3. Turn off the Ipad.

4. Find a small enough pointer to hit the reset button on the reader itself, hold for about 10 seconds to make sure you've reset it. I use the extra staples by taking one off and flattening it out.

5. Turn on the Ipad.

6. Go to the hardware settings in Shopify once again -> Connect hardware -> Tag & Chip readers. Holding the blue button on top on the reader itself should get the blue lights to start flashing from left to right. The reader should pop up on the finding readers screen. If this occurs again check to make sure you reset the reader. If not try with the backup card reader.

7. Click connect.
