NEW DELIVERY DRIVER CHECKLIST
When we hire a new driver, please follow the steps below:
Choose a day for the presumptive new hire to come in to do a training day where they get to learn delivery and shipping processes to ensure that all parties feel that the new hire and role will be a good fit.
Once scheduled, send canned response with info for first day, google form for TriNet onboarding, and request for 2 forms of ID:
----Hi [NAME]: Welcome to the team! A few things for your first shift:- Please make sure you have ample room in your car for cases of beer, bags for delivery, etc. Usually an empty trunk and back seat will do.- We can provide vinyl gloves and a reusable mask, but if you have your own, it would be helpful to have a few back ups on the road. - You will use your own cell phone for routing and contacting customers. We recommend having a car charger, and if preferred, a mount to hold your phone so you're not fumbling with it while driving.- The driver checklist is attached with the general process and responsibilities of a driver outlined. Let me know if you have questions! Please fill out this form so we can get you onboarded onto our payroll: https://forms.gle/Nw2FL6JKWQ9tnmZA8Thanks and see you soon.---Start New Onboarding Checklist in Basecamp

Hi [NAME],We’re looking forward to your first full shift with us on Wednesday, March 17th @ 12:30pm. I’ve included some links below to help get you ready for your first day. Most of it is stuff that we’ve covered before, but lease look it over before Wednesday and keep for future reference. 7shiftsYesterday you should have received next week’s schedule via 7shifts. Let me know if you’re not seeing that come through. The 7shifts app is good to have downloaded to your phone from the Apple App or Google Play stores. This will allow you to receive push notifications whenever schedules or changes to the schedule are published. The Threes WikiWe have an internal website that we call the “wiki” and it’s where we catalog our knowledge and resources. This is an internal site so please do not share or make it public. For all delivery driver and shipping associate related resources please refer to the following link.Routific Driver AppPlease go ahead and download the app from the Apple App or Google Play stores to your phone. The app isn’t functional when opened unless you’ve been texted a route link. As long as you’ve downloaded the app and enable location tracking while using the app, you are all good to go!TollsIf you do not already have one we recommend getting an E-ZPass to automatically pay for tolls. Once you have an E-ZPass we recommend downloading the official app Tolls NY from the Apple App or Google Play stores. This app makes it easy to take screen shots of your toll charges and submit them for reimbursement (instructions in the wiki).Dress CodeContrary to the entry in the wiki, we haven’t had a strict dress code during the winter months since everyone is bundled up. That being said we do have a Threes hat, a Vliet mask, and two t-shirts for you that we will give you on Wednesday. Until further notice please dress comfortably, using your best judgement on customer-facing appropriate appearance, and wearing closed toed shoes that will allow you free-range of movement as you carry beer and load it in and out of your vehicle.Contacting usWe are frequent texters/callers with drivers. Please add my cell phone number to your phone so you can reach out to us whenever needed. If you’re running late, having trouble finding parking, or are troubleshooting on a route, please text. We love over-communication and are always happy to help!Alyssa Manzi - (207) 975-2788We’re all very happy to welcome you to our Threes family. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions and we’ll see you on Wednesday!Provide them their Square login number and show them how to clock-in.

Offer 2 shirts (blue & black) in their size & a black 5-panel hat and log on "Drivers" Tab.
