EVENT MANAGER/MOD (NAME):
print regular MB menus or custom menus (if bev package)
event chalk sandwich board sign, "welcome whatever the host would like it to say!", goes outside the room, near the light controls.
gather food signs, if catering
check in with kitchen on food drop times, # of platters, etc.
provide support to server, as needed
check in with client to set up playing music from their phone (auxiliary cable with dongle is stored on events shelves in the office)
RETAIL (NAME):
store all merch (including signage, ipad, cash box, etc), menu and display bottles can remain on display
close fridge curtains
push black shop counter to opposite side of room, under the marble mirror.
EVENT SERVER (NAME):
distribute the three high tops and stools, so they are equidistant from one another in the space
LED lights OFF, Chandelier ON (and dimmed), globe lights on/off depending on vibe.
sweep and wipe down surfaces
distribute menus throughout the space
(If catering) polish # plates, # roll ups (use event linens for rollups)
set up catering risers, food signs on stands
set up shelves with crates & any decor available
distribute candles on shelves, black shop counter, ledge and high tops throughout the space
set up water station on an empty shelf with cups and dispenser
when client/host arrives to the space (up to 30m prior to start time) these steps should be all be completed.

Steps to closing down the Shop in preparation for an event (Shop employee):

Steps to setting up The Parlor (event manager, MOD, servers)
Turn on lights, a/c, check restrooms, test sound
layout should be set up as outlined in the email or floorplan provided
distribute high tops and stools, or execute layout as seen on server sheet
LED lights OFF, Chandelier ON (and dimmed), globe lights on/off depending on vibe.
sweep and wipe down surfaces
event sign (chalkboard sandwich board sign with event title on it) goes outside the room, near the light controls.
distribute regular, printed beverage menus unless otherwise noted.
If catering is arranged, the counter under the big round mirror should be set up for food (risers, signage, tray with silverware or rollups with event linens, napkins, and a linen)
when client/host arrives to the space (up to 30m prior to start time) these steps should be all be completed.
To play music in The Parlor:
plug in the auxiliary cable that's stored on the event shelves, provide dongle, if needed
connect the client's device using the headphone jack input (iphone would need an adaptor/dongle)
toggle the bottom dial on the right to "Dining" and push in to select.
use the top dial to control the volume.
if a microphone is needed, plug in using an XLR cord (stored in the office), and use the bottom dial to select "Mic" and top dial to control volume.
To close down an event in the Parlor:
clear buffet, remove all risers and extra plates/silver to proper storage area.
clear event decor, even if it looks nice! store it in the office, or dispose of it.
clear event candles/votives.
remove and store signage.
wipe down high tops and sweep.
close tabs
check server's work, have them close checks, enter tips, print out a shift report and hand to MOD
