Use this process when you want to place a comp order. Comps for business partners, other breweries, customers, and anything else requires the approval of your manager. If you aren't sure who to ask, contact Ecommerce.
Quick how-to checklist (full details laid out below):
Create Order
Add customer
Add 4 tags: "Comp", "Manual", Comp Reason, Shipping Method
Enter products
*If you are adding merch from the Sales Inventory do NOT add it as a line item. Add it in the notes field and mention it in the email to Ecomm if you need it shipped or delivered
Add the discount and a note with your name
Mark as Paid, or pay if the discount isn't 100%
Click Create Order
Check Inventory/Fulfillment Location and change if necessary (i.e. if you pick up the items yourself at The Shop at 333, make sure the location is listed as Gowanus // if you need shipping or local delivery, set the location to Ecommerce Delivery Shipping)
If you are taking the beer immediately, click Mark as Fulfilled. And that's it! No need to email Ecomm if you took the beer and fulfilled it yourself from the correct location.
If you need it shipped or delivered, please email ecommerce@threesbrewing.com with your ORDER # for confirmation, and Ecomm will take it from there.
Login to Shopify, navigate to Orders page, click "Create Order".
2. Create or Find Customer Info. Every comp order needs a customer.
The customer is either the person requesting the order or the person the order is going to. If the customer is not the employee requesting the order, then the employee's name should go in the Notes field.
3. Add 4 tags. You MUST add these tags now, not after you've created the order.
A. Shipping Method:
Shipping
Delivery
Pickup - Gowanus
Pickup - Greenpoint
Pickup - Huntington
If you do not require any of these methods for your order, omit this tag.
B. Manual
C. Comp
D. Add a Comp Reason from the list
4. Enter Items onto the order.
Search for your item and select the correct variant (Single can, 4-pack etc.) and enter the correct qty.
*You shouldn't need to enter a custom item. If you are having trouble finding anything in Shopify please reach out to E-comm and they can assist.
5. Add discount: Click "Add Discount". Add your name in the Notes section if you aren't listed as the Customer. Add any other notes into the "Notes" section.
6. If you're shipping the beer, make sure you pay for shipping, if you don't know the cost, email ecommerce@threesbrewing.com to find out.
7. "Pay" for the order.
If you are paying for the order, use the "Pay with Credit Card" button to enter info. If it's a 100% comp or an Employee Allocation, select "Mark as Paid". This will create the order.
8. Make sure the inventory location is correct. Change this menu to the place you got the beer from.
9. If you are taking the beer immediately, fulfill the order.
10. If you are not taking the beer, and have Delivery, Shipping, or Pick-Up Greenpoint/Gowanus/Huntington as a tag, please email ecommerce@threesbrewing.com with your ORDER # for confirmation. Please also copy your manager on this email to E-Comm.
