Shopify page for Keg Party Pump Rental (Fee)

Google worksheet for Keg Order Empties Tracking
Google worksheet for 225 Keg Pickups
For retail customers, we offer kegs in sixtels (⅙ bbl). If a customer calls or emails about ordering a keg, first direct them to the store link where they can see the current stock and order directly for pickup or delivery.
A sixtel is ~40x 16 oz pints.
If a customer is interested in ½ bbl kegs, have them email info@ with their request. We are able to order Vliet, Logical, and select other styles. These currently sell for $375 + tax. Free delivery.
Currently available sixtels are listed with accurate inventory for each variant and each location on Shopify. The accurate inventory lives only on Shopify and nowhere else.
We offer kegs for fulfillment from only 225 and Huntington, for both Pickup and Delivery from those locations during their normal business hours.
No kegs are to be picked up at Greenpoint. If a customer wants a keg on the weekend, they can pick up at 333 if arranged by The Shop. The Shop can either send them the store link, or see here for available inventory at 225. Then create an order in Shopify (add party pump if needed).
Kegs can also be purchased directly in-person through the Shopify POS in Huntington, without the customer having to go through the online checkout process.
We offer both lager and IPA styles in sixtels for $160.00
A $20 fee for non-curbside deliveries will need to be added to orders for deliveries inside office and apartment buildings.
E-Comm and Jared are in charge of determining pricing and any applicable fees.
We don't charge deposits on the kegs, but we need contact information to retrieve them if they don't bring it back in a timely fashion. We'll threaten to charge a $100 fee to their card on file, if not returned after 60 days of rental. We can’t charge someone’s card in Shopify without them providing us their credit card details. We’ll continue to assess how to add a deposit and update this as needed.
Pumps and Taps
We offer party pumps, but we only offer them for a non-refundable rental fee, not a deposit. The fee is $25 for each rental. The inventory for party pumps lives at 225 on the delivery packing shelves and reflected on the Shopify page.
For keg donations, we'll discount the keg price 100%, but still charge the $25 party pump rental fee, which we'll then refund after we receive the party pump AND keg back.
Tap Handle
If someone wants to buy a tap handle, we retail them for $40, and we keep them at 333. Sell them as an open item through Shopify, but these are very infrequent requests. They live in the top right cubby in the full timers office, and there is plentiful supply.
E-Commerce will check the 225 starting inventory each Monday, checking physical counts against Shopify inventory to establish the true keg inventory at 225.
Rob will forecast sales and “order” kegs from the brewery to meet demand on a weekly, or twice-monthly basis, depending on packaging schedule.
a minimum of 3x kegs of each SKU and a maximum of 8x of each SKU at any one point in time in total at 225, ideally, to get through a calendar week, based on preceding ROS. Rob will similarly assist Huntington with their inventory and plan keg transfers until the site flip happens.
E-Commerce updates the Shopify page for retail kegs to reflect what’s available in inventory.
E-Commerce uses links to the beers’ Untappd.com pages to illustrate the beer on offer.
E-Commerce is responsible for removing variants from the page as well as the product description after we fully run out of beer at both locations
If a customer calls or emails about ordering a keg, first direct them to the store link where they can see the current stock and order directly for pickup or delivery. If this link does not have anything available, view the current stock in Shopify to determine what's available at which location, and create a custom order on behalf of the customer.
Shopify page should have all the answers about the process for customers, including products available, pump info, pickup info, and so on
Ordering process when people ask info@ if we offer kegs
info@ sends them:
a link to the keg page
link to the $20 office/apartment delivery fee
a link to the party pump page
Template text that calls out specifically that customers need to be aware that the website will currently allow them to choose ANY of our locations for pickup, but that they need to choose either Huntington or the “Keg Pickup” location which is 225 Third Ave.
Corporate Keg Emails (twice monthly TBD)
Keg Deliveries
Keg delivery orders will hit the respective Delivery Plans for 225 and Huntington the same as any other delivery order.
Please make sure that kegs get set aside and marked with the Order # on the keg collar for delivery orders scheduled ahead of time. This will ensure that they don’t accidentally get pulled for a transfer or poured for draft.
Delivery drivers might want to take a hand-truck with them for keg deliveries since they are heavy and hard to hand-carry over long distances, especially for deliveries inside buildings.
Keg Pickups
Keg pickup orders for Huntington will hit the Huntington Pickup worksheet the same as any other pickup order.
Please make sure that kegs get set aside and marked with the Order # on the keg collar for delivery orders scheduled ahead of time. This will ensure that they don’t accidentally get pulled for a transfer or poured for draft.
A “Pickup Plan - 225” worksheet has been created to track keg pickup orders being picked up at 225. Orders will hit this sheet automatically and managing the page and pickups will be Rob’s responsibility, and the Ecommerce team secondarily. Orders will get marked “Picked up” once the customer picks up the keg, and then “Moved to Completed”
Empty Keg Retrieval, Returns, and Party Pump Tracking
A Keg Order Empties Tracking google worksheet has been created that automatically tracks any and all keg orders through Shopify (excluding POS Huntington sales).
Huntington Keg POS sales will trigger a Shopify Flow email to info@, this Shopify order will need to be pasted into the Keg Order Empties Tracking worksheet.
Each keg order will live in the Empties Tracking worksheet until we receive the empty keg and/or party pump. Kegs that haven't been dropped off will be labeled as "Hold." Retrieved kegs can be labeled as "Delivered."
Retrieving Empty Kegs (Picked up by a Delivery Driver)
Once a month, at the end of each month, Ecommerce (info@ lead) should reach out from info@ to all customers in the Empties Tracking worksheet to arrange the return or retrieval of the empty kegs.
They should add any keg retrievals to the Delivery Plan or Delivery Future worksheets immediately upon confirmation from the customer.
Orders in the Empties Tracking sheet can get moved to a Delivery plan so a delivery driver can be scheduled to pick up an empty. To do this, copy the order row and paste values into an empty row in the Delivery Plan or Delivery Future worksheets, followed by clearing the row in the Keg Order Empties Tracking worksheet. Adjust the retrieval date and time to match request. Be sure to zero-out the Amount column so that revenue isn’t counted twice.
Once the driver has picked up the empty, the order can be “Moved to Completed” like any other delivery order and doesn’t need to be fulfilled in shopify.
If a driver brings back an empty keg OR if a customer brings a keg back to any of our locations, the manager on duty should alert Ecommerce. Ecommerce will determine if the keg or party pump is from one of the tracked orders, the order Status should be marked “Delivered” in Keg Order Empties Tracking.
Note: It is possible that we might continue to receive or pickup empty kegs from customers from a time before the Empties Tracking worksheet was created.
Empty kegs should make their way back to 333 in the Yard where empties go. If a large quantity of empty kegs accumulates at 225, the Warehouse person should be contacted to bring them back to the brewery for cleaning.
