Employee submits a request to their manager for time off by filling out the form.
The manager receives an email about the request automatically.
The manager approves or rejects in the Form Responses vacation log column Approved?.
The employee receives an email with the response automatically.
If the manager approves it, then the employee adds it to their calendar and then reminds everyone a day or two before the vacation.
Days are tracked in this sheet.
For hourly employees, the manager enters the hours as PTO into our timecards system like any other shift, but under the role "PTO".
If the person taking the PTO doesn't have a PTO role in Square, then add it if you can or ask Ops team to add that.
Add their email and name to the sheet Lookups and Inputs under Employees, and also under Managers if they'll be approving the requests of other people
Add their email to the sheet Vacation Tracker, and copy down all the other formulas
Sort that alphabetically after you add them
Add their PTO days for the rest of the year in the sheet Manual Changes
Add them to the form in alphabetical order
