DISCOUNTS, COMPS, & SHIFT DRINKS

Who is eligible for what?  

• All current staff members are entitled to 2 shift drinks on days they work. Shift drinks are Threes draft beer, though some of our more rare styles may be excluded, house wine by the glass, or a simple well liquor. All shifts drinks need to be entered in the POS. Packaged beer is not available for shift drinks.

• All current staff members are eligible for a 50% discount on to-stay beverages at all 4 of our on-premise locations, for themselves and one other person. 

• All current staff members are eligible for a 25% discount on packaged Threes and Third-Party Beer to-go, unless specifically indicated.

• All current staff members are eligible for a 25% discount on Threes Brewing merchandise, unless specifically indicated.

Partnership Discounts

Threes enjoys unusual, but charming partnerships with our food and coffee providers. Those partners operate in our facilities, but as independent entities. We have worked out agreements with each so that Threes Brewing employees can enjoy discounts on their products. 

In addition to the free staff meal for those on shift, all food from The Meat Hook is provided at a 35% discount for employees and all food from Greenpoint Fish & Lobster is provided at a 50% discount for employees.  Coffee and tea from Ninth Street Espresso is offered with a $1.00 discount to all Threes employees.

What about people outside the company?  

Threes also provides discounts to friends and neighbors of the company. Here is our Hospitality Partners & Discounts master list. Familiarize yourself with this so when a friend or neighbor comes into the space the appropriate discount is applied.

Excluding those friends and partners on the master list, all comps for business partners, other breweries, customers, and anything else requires the approval of your manager, and you should copy your manager on the email to E-Comm.

How do I record my comps?

Tracking comps properly is important because we need to account for every ounce of liquid we serve. If we don't, it throws off the inventory numbers each week, which leads to inaccurate COGS and an inaccurate Profit & Loss statement.  And then that makes us all mean. If you do not enter your comps, you are no longer eligible for them.

All Front-of-House comps need to be input into the Square POS system and require manager approval. All Shop comments need to be input in the Shopify POS system and require manager approval.
