Linoleum Block
My thought behind this project was to do something with a fish. I didn't know what to do with the background since the linoleum block should be 50% carved and 50% uncarved. I came up with many hexagons next to each other to make this pattern.
The materials i used were the linoleum block that i would carve my design in, then a paper and pencil to replicate my design on that would get transferred on my block, then a sharpie to make sure my lines would not go away, used a special tool to carve out my design, then ink to transfer my design on paper for my final project.
Something I had to deal with was coming up with a design. When I found out what to do I then had to figure out how big to put everything. It also was kind of a struggle to get the ink spread on my block right to make the perfect print with no errors.
