Whistler Mountains
Acrylic Paint, Pen, and Pencil
9x11 in
The story behind my painting is that I had to pick an artist/ art style that inspired me. The art style I chose was surrealism and the artist that inspired me was Bob Ross and Rene Magritte. I used a photo from a ski trip to Whistler, British Columbia, Canada to recreate by painting.
The materials I used were a flat canvas, white acrylic paint, grey acrylic paint, black acrylic paint, a pencil, and a black pen. The paint for the painting and the black pen for the chairlift.
I experimented with this art piece by me layering different colors and the way I painted certain objects. My painting evolved by me adding the clouds up top because it was just grey before and there was just a weird empty spot. My next steps could be me adding more little details.
