Tile Design

Primary Snowflake

For this project, I had to create a tile that once it was made a mold and was completed would form into one big cohesive tile. So I thought it was fitting to make a snowflake because of how much I love the snow. 

I created this tile by sketching out a design that would be the same on one tile but when made four of the same tile they would go together and make a big snowflake. Then I constructed it in clay which I took and made a plaster mold of. I used my mold to pack clay into to make four tiles that were glazed to be the same.

I created this because I felt this was very fitting for my life and the colors were used like this since these are my favorite colors. Overall this has been one of my favorite projects this year.
