Arrive Alive

The idea for this project was to create something that was created and would represent what drinking and driving or distracted driving could look like. I went back and forth when debating the ideas that I could paint. I went with the perspective of a driver who could be drinking, texting, and what comes with that. Raising awareness to Arrive Alive. 

The materials I chose for this project were posca paint pens and acrylic paint. I started by taking a photo that I used as a reference of me in the front seat of my car. I then started mapping out all the details in the car and used my posca pens to do the majority of the painting. I went back and used black and white paint to create a dark grey for the outside of the car. 

The process I went through to create this piece was how could I visually show what it is like to be distracted driving. I also had a lot of planning while sketching out my design to make it the best it could be and make sense to viewers.
