Embroidered Cyanotype

The main idea for this project was to create a mountain landscape encaustic and embroider different patterns into each of the mountains.

To create this work I used clear plastic to draw a mountain landscape and then put that overtop of special uv fabric that will block out the landscape I drew. After the fabric developed I used a needle and thread to create patterns in the different mountains.

The process I went through was to try and make decisions on how to change up my embroidery and make it different from each other. It took lots of imaging of different designs to create a lot of texture.
