Highs and Lows

The main idea for this project was to use my high school experience and demonstrate that on this old diploma. My idea was to show my highs and lows in collage form.

The materials were the diploma which I collaged the front with college flyers mailed to me and some photos of mountains. On the top of the inside cover, I put a white background to illustrate the snow from the mountain peaks. At the bottom, I used an old paper bag to show dirt from the valleys. The top has good memories and the bottom has the bad times I have experienced. 

The process was how can I find a way to show my high school experience without saying to much about it. I settled on a fun collage that is connected to me by the mountains. I first wanted to use colors to show the highs and lows in the background but I wanted to settle on something more illustrative and have a better connection to my saying on front.
