Big Bird

9 x 12 in

Watercolor, Gel Pen, Colored Pencil

The idea that guided me through this process was to research a duck and then ideally recreate a scene where your duck will be and draw or paint the duck realistically. That is what I did.

The materials I used were colored pencil, watercolor, and a white gel pen on bristol board paper.

The processes I went through were research, experimentation, and practice. It took lots of research to find the perfect duck I would best like to recreate. A lot of experimentation happened on a scrap piece of paper to find the best colors together, technique, and realism. Lastly I did a lot of practicing to have the duck be perfect in shape and overall look good.
