Sustained Investigation
Dotted Sky
5 x 5 x 2 in
Air Dry Clay
My main idea for this project was to use clay to make little dots to make up my landscape photo reference. I like to do diamond paintings in my free time and wanted to try and make my own in a material I usually don't use.
The materials I used were acrylic paint mixed with airdry clay that was split into balls and then flattened out. I used a wooden canvas that I painted white and E6000 glued the clay onto the canvas.
The process I went through was experimenting with the amount of paint I added to clay to get the desired color, how to layout clay on the canvas, and how to add more on top of the clay.
