Stars & Stripes

What guided me through his project was to use the composition of the American flag. Red, white, blue, stars, stripes, and whatever symbolizes America to me. So that’s what I did, I just moved the composition of the normal flag and made the stripes look like they were swaying in the wind.

The materials I used were canvas, pencil to sketch out my idea, acrylic paint for flags color, and a paint marker to add black to the stars.

The process I had to do was to think of what I could do using American colors and something that I thought symbolized America. I couldn't think of something that I really liked so I changed the shape of the stars part of the flag and made the stars black. I also turned the stars so they would be black.
