Sustained Investigation #2

The main idea for this project was to take a photo from the summer and recreate it. This photo shows growing up and learning how to do things on your own. In this case, I was alone in the Denver Airport for over 4 hours and I had to learn how to do adult things on my own. I also used the feedback on texture from SI #1 to help start this project. I made this by using crayons with the help of my reference photo. I built up a layer of crayon so I could go back with a palette knife to scratch it away. Throughout my process I used a scrap piece of paper to practice my ideas of colors and how I wanted to create texture. I also looked at this photo and tried to remember what I felt about this situation and use it to base my texture on.
