Candy Shading

Colored Pencil, Black Pen, & Sharpie

11 x 8 in

The story behind this piece is that I had some leftover Halloween candy and I put it on a surface and observed the shadows and the highlights and drew it.

I used a pencil to get the rough outline of the candy and used colored pencils for the rest mostly. Pressed harder to get the darker spots of the candy. I used a pen and sharpie for the logos.

Some processes used were layering the color by maybe coloring one spot over and over again by not doing that on a different spot. Also, by pressing harder to get darker spots and lighter for the lighter spots. My project evolved by me adding the logo. The next step could be by having for M&Ms or adding more detail to the packaging.
