Rural City
For this project, I was prompted to make something that has duality. Duality to me is something that is the opposite of another thing. I chose to do that with a cityscape and a few small houses on a big plot of land.
To make this I wedged my clay to have air-pocked free clay which then I rolled into a slap. After that, I used the remanding clay and rolled them into coils, which I would use my fingers to pinch the edges to get the tall buildings and the houses. Lastly, I scorched and slipped the pieces together and smoothes remanding areas.
I created the city and the rural town because they are both really cool to me. Living in a big city having so much around and then living in a small town with so much land and nature to explore. They are both also in a few ways the complete opposite of each other.
