U.S. Immigration
8.5 x 10 in
Pencil & Colored Pencil
The topic I chose to represent this project was immigration. I showed how the Mexican border is getting a lot more attention about people trying to flee Mexico in the past few years. So I decided to show what someone might run into. (What I think the border looks like)
My materials were an HB pencil to sketch out my design, colored pencils for the drawing, and I drew everything on a bristol board.
The process I had to go through was to try to show the army men on one side of the wall and the family on the other. To show different aspects I tried to teach myself how to make the texture. I practiced different techniques on a piece of scrap paper to get the texture I like.
