Sustained Investigation #5

My main idea for the fifth investigation was to create a landscape drawing trying to push darks and to incorporate a natural material into my piece.

I used dirt to wash the paper to turn the paper brown. Then I used a sharpie to draw the drawing and then go back with a white gel pen to add some highlights. Also giving some detail.

My processors were trying to find something from nature that would match my investigations. Another one was how to turn dirt into water color. How much water to add? Where do I get the dirt? How dark do I want it to be?
