Material Based Portrait

The main idea for this project was to recreate this photo I took of my sister skiing over a road with a material that connects with her. I first chose pre-wrap because she always puts it in her hair for sporting events then while using that material I realized how much more detail I could get with string which connects to her because she loves making bracelets for her and her friends. 

The materials were a piece of paper with double-sided tape and over top of that I used friendship bracelet string.

The processes I used were trying to get detail using a thin stretchy piece of plastic and it was hard to build up the layers. With some more thinking my brain started to imagine the detail and patterns I could get with thing strands of string.
