Sustained Investigation #13

Colored Scheme

8 x 8 in

Acrylic Paint

The main idea for this project was to take many photos I felt fit a similar theme and collage them together to create a new image. With that image, I printed it out and cut it into fourths and blocked out key colors, and mixed paint it.

I took two 8 by 8-inch wood blocks to paint on to eventually create a big 16 by 16-inch big painting. Each block can be each its own painting or put them all together to be a big one. I took a pencil to draw each block im going to paint, then painted white over it to prime it. Lastly, I mixed the right colored acrylic paint to paint over the white.

The processes I went through was picking out each photo, what to block out, mixing the right shade, and what material to paint on.
